How to update secondhand finds – spanish prints

I love art but with all these walls that is a LOT of original art to find at gallery prices! So the other day I went happily along to a friend of a friends to see some of the things they were selling (art wise) since they were moving out of Ibiza.I have been seeing these spanish paintings and prints a lot on the island and was ecstatic when she had two signed and framed prints to sell for 10 euro each! The frames were not amazing as the rounded form and wood finish dated the look of the prints a lot. But updating art is easy by changing the frame. I like the square frames as they add a more modern form and prefer a white frame as they blend which keeps the focus on the prints and allows the colours to pop.

I used Ikea Ribba frames for this as they gave the look I wanted and are great value for money.
